Who We Are
McKinley Early Childhood Center was created with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and high-quality early education—regardless of circumstance.
As a family-owned childcare provider in Akron, Ohio, McKinley has been serving local families for more than 20 years. What started as a commitment to support working parents and care for children in our community has grown into three trusted childcare centers serving infants through Pre-K, with school-age care available at one location.
From the beginning, our focus has always been on people—children, families, and teachers. We understand that early childhood is a critical time of growth, discovery, and development. That understanding shapes everything we do, from how our classrooms are designed to how our teachers engage with each child every day.

We are especially proud to support families who rely on childcare assistance through Title XX. In fact, more than 95% of the families we serve receive Title XX support. Our goal is to make high-quality childcare accessible while partnering closely with parents to support each child’s success.

We understand the challenges families face when balancing work, school, and childcare. That’s why we focus on consistency, reliability, and meaningful support by offering:
- Full-day care from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack included
- Free diapers, wipes, and formula for infants and toddlers
- Open communication and family-focused care
